Mental Health for Care Workers

20/02/2021

We are proud to be delivering the Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit programme adapted to the needs of care workers fully funded by the GMB Union. The programme combines cognitive behavioural therapy, neuroscience and the latest psychological research to provide a range of techniques and strategies to rebuild resilience, understand and aid the grieving process, improve low mood and reduce anxiety.

The feedback from participants includes –
How have you used any of techniques / strategies within the programme?
‘The space allowed for planning of how to implement. Some techniques are just in the tool bag to use when needed but the awareness of them is there e.g. poison parrot! Others, such as ‘Building your resilience’ is at the heart of a plan I now have in place.’

What would you say to someone considering taking part in the programme?
‘Go for it! – I wasn’t sure about it and really enjoyed it. The course made me think about things that I wouldn’t have thought about before and I came away with tools that could definitely help me. It’s also interesting to find out more about how the body and mind work.’
